Image Cartoonizer is aimed to give the desired photographs a cartoonish look. Fortunately, the application does not demand any artistic skills from the user.
Image Cartoonizer is the desktop version of a service that has been available online for a while. Its user interface has kept the essence of its online counterpart, so if you are familiar with this service, you will probably feel at ease with this program.
As the program supports batch conversion, the first step is to select the photos to cartoonize. Clicking on the left side of an image name opens an editor that allows you to crop the selected picture or adjust its color and brightness. After this, by just choosing an output path, you will be ready to select a cartoon effect. Instead of using wordy descriptions for these effects, there is a set of transformed pictures to help you anticipate what your images will look like after their transformation. Then, you can proceed to cartoonize the photos.
When tested, the software could produce the desired effects on batches of photos. However, it froze once after the process was apparently over and failed to create the output image. I realize the program has to apply complex algorithms to create the images, yet the process seemed still too slow for me. In general, I do not think this offline paid version is not better than the free online service.
